James Finnerty returns to hometown Toronto to release a debut EP. Joined by local bluegrass favorites Makita Hack and the Log Rollers.

A melancholy marriage of hope and mystery… stranded on an island amidst one and a half million people… the music of James Finnerty weaves an old-time loom of warm guitars mixed with the immediacy of here and now. Lyrics are born from free association and restless, introspective politics. Acoustic guitar, soundstream vocals and electro-play humbly take their place, following the lead of the avant-garde, electro, americana, jazz, mod, post–punk and new wave movements of the past.

Makita Hack and the Log Rollers is Georgina Blanchard (fiddle), Danny Simmons (fiddle), Kim Sedore (banjo), Alastair Miller (guitar, mandolin), Joe Myke (bass). They play rippin’ old time, bluegrass music.
